10 Clarendon Crescent
Wednesday, 18 August 2010 00:00

10_Clarendon_CresThis is my latest property development project and it features a beautiful Georgian townhouse over four levels on a leafy cobbled street in Edinburgh’s West End.  From the outside, 10 Clarendon Crescent looks typical of its period but internally it has been transformed into five self-contained apartments, with state-of-the-art amenities.  Each apartment is named after a nearby area, and local touches are also provided in murals covering entire walls in some of the rooms.

The quality of the apartments made photographing them a pleasure, and even the challenge of working out how to avoid my reflection appearing in some of the full-wall mirrors was overcome…eventually!

The new website for the property has been developed by Mark’s team at 1st Class Media.  You can see the photographs at www.10clarendoncrescent.co.uk or by simply clicking here to access directly.

15TO19 York Place
Wednesday, 04 August 2010 00:00

15to19_York_PLace_0099Some time ago I was approached by new clients, Sally and Chris, to produce photographs to market their new business hub in Edinburgh’s city centre.  This development of private office accommodation with shared amenities is situated right in the heart of the New Town, with all the associated business, retail, tourist and leisure attractions that that location has to offer.

Sally and Chris were keen to incorporate images of the surrounding area into their website and brochure, to illustrate that 15TO19 is more than just a typical office development.  This gave me a great opportunity to get out and about as part of the assignment and capture the buzz of St Andrew Square and its environment.

You can view some of the photographs at www.15to19.co.uk or link directly to the website by clicking here.  The headings at the top of the page will provide all the options for viewing the variety of indoor and outdoor images http://canadianviagras.com/pill/kamagra-oral-jelly-canada/.

Mill Wharf Development
Wednesday, 30 June 2010 00:00

LatestNews_Crop_300x300In my last update, I mentioned that I had been doing a lot of property work recently.  I really enjoy this kind of photography as it challenges me to think about every detail - angles, verticals, lighting, etc - all before the shutter is released.  It's quite rewarding to look at the final image and recall the first time I arrived at the scene to work out the best way to capture it.

I was recently assigned to photograph a luxury development of townhouses and flats by the River Tweed estuary at Berwick, Northumberland.  Not only did this give me an opportunity to have fun with the photography but, as Berwick is only 8 miles from the small village that I was brought up in, the evening stroll round the town after the shoot was quite nostalgic ... and the fish and chips by the Tweed at dusk was even better!

Thanks to Neil at GMC Building Contractors for inviting me to work at his fantastic development and I'll add more images of the shoot here shortly.

May Update
Monday, 31 May 2010 00:00

Showjumping May 2010They say that "no news is good news" and the lack of a Latest News article here for some time is simply due to the fact that I've been busy - mustn't let it slip for so long before the next update!

The arrival of Spring brings Event season, and the opportunity to meet up again with established contacts across the local equestrian and motor racing communities - and meet new clients at the same time.  The year-long project to create a charity calendar at Borthwick Farm is progressing well, as the Winter horses have now been joined by images of the Spring lambs.

Photographs of business and domestic properties have recently been in some demand from both private clients and agents.  To reflect all these latest developments I have recently refreshed the Home page to showcase the Event and Commercial portfolios for the business and, as ever, it would be great to hear your views.

The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
